Terms of Service

These terms cover purchases made on whattosay.us, the home of the book What to Say: 25 Frameworks for Effective Communication at Work by Laks Ramakrishnan. By buying any product on this site, you agree to these terms.

1. Products

We sell digital products:

• E-book (EPUB) — the full text of What to Say.
• Audiobook (M4B) — the full book narrated, about nine and a half hours, with chapter marks.
• The Leadership Comms Lab — a 30-episode private podcast, one communication framework per episode.
• The Complete Package — e-book, audiobook, private podcast, and the 100-scenario workbook course together.

Prices are shown in US dollars and may change; the price at checkout is the price you pay.

2. Payment

Payments are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record. Your receipt comes from Paddle, and Paddle handles sales tax/VAT, fraud screening, and chargebacks. We never see or store your card details.

3. Delivery

Digital products are delivered by download link and/or email after purchase. The private podcast is delivered as a personal feed URL with a one-tap setup page; it may take a few minutes for the purchase email to arrive — check spam if you don't see it.

4. License — yours to learn from, not to share

Every purchase is a single-user license: you may read, listen, and use the materials on your own devices, for your own learning. You may not:

• redistribute, resell, or publicly share the e-book, audiobook, workbook, or episode files;
• share your private podcast feed URL or setup link with anyone else — it's tied to your purchase;
• republish the content (text, audio, or derived works) on any public platform.

Quoting brief passages with attribution for review or discussion is fine.

5. Refunds

If a product isn't what you expected, write to [email protected] within 30 days of purchase and we'll refund you — no forms, no interrogation. After 30 days, digital products are generally non-refundable, but if something is genuinely broken (a file that won't open, a feed that won't load), we'll fix it or refund it regardless of timing.

6. Intellectual property

All content on this site and in our products — text, audio, frameworks, examples, design — is the property of Laks Ramakrishnan and protected by copyright. Nothing here is affiliated with or endorsed by any employer.

7. Disclaimer

Our products teach communication frameworks for professional life. They are educational, not professional advice, and we make no promises about career outcomes, promotions, or earnings. Results depend on how you apply what you learn.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; the version in force is the one posted here at the time of your purchase. Material changes will be noted with a new "last updated" date.
